Pratibha Sanskritik Sansthan:

was established in 1987 with Bhumikeshwar Singh as the Founder Director/ Chairperson. It is a non profitable organization/ Trust working in various fields of performing arts.  PSS gives Training to artists in Chhau Dance, Odissi Dance, Drama & Mime.  The main objective of PSS is to do experiment in Sanskrit Play in Chhau style by using all Classical Theatre Techniques.

 

PSS participated in MIME Festival Organized by W.Z.C.C Udaipur, Jodhpur, Jaipur in 2006.

 

PSS participated in 1st, 2nd & 3rd MIME Festival Organized by Indian MIME Theatre, Kolkata.

 

PSS directed plays in MIME like Koch Devyani, Atrocities of Women’s, Girls & Child in 1994.  This was shown in slum areas of Delhi. The Happy Prince, Age and Pollution, AIDS, Environment , and others.  PSS performed during MIME Festival.

 

Some of the Productions of PSS are “Dootvakyam”, “ Karnabharam”, Venisanharam”, “Nagmandalam”, “Panchratram”, “Mahaveercharitam”, “Dootghatotkacham”, “Meghdootam” and “Madhyamvyayogam”.  

 

These productions have been featured in National Theatre Festival held in different parts of India such as:

 Trichur (National Theatre Festival 20th Sept.  1998),

Madurai (Velvi 11th Feb. 2000),

Ujjain (Kalidas Samaroh, 12th Nov. 2000 & 6th Nov. 2006),

Patana (Swarn Utsav by Sangeet Natak Akademi, 30th Dec. 2000),

Vijayawada (Siddharth Kala Pitham, 25th Aug. 2001),

Varanasi (Natya Parva by Sangeet Natak Akademi, 22nd Dec. 2005),

 Jaipur & Jodhpur (Natya Samaroh by West Zone Culture Center, 20 & 21st Aug. 2008).

 

All these performances have been highly appreciated by the audience.
